Ticket for Morgana’s Masterclass up for grabs
Bridie has one ticket returned for Morgana’s masterclass on Friday 16th July between 2-5pm at BTDA/IAC.
Morgana will be demonstrating moves in her Pirate Choreography which she will perform at the evening hafla. Masterclass participants will be welcome to join her on stage in the performance.
First come, first served! Please write to Bridie asap.
Here’s Morgana’s introduction to the class:
A “Workshop in which you must forget all that ‘lady good manners’ to become a real Pirate. We will train hard to prepare our body at the beginning of the class. Then we will see tips for make your fusion or gothic dance moves cooler and become yourself in the Captain of the Stage moving like a rough-rocking sea-woman trying 3 different styles: 1) The ‘Drunk’ sailor – 2) The ‘Rough’ (some krumping moves) –3) ‘Not without my boots!’ (bring your boots and learn how to dance, walk, and turn with them). To speak we will use some nautical terms as ‘port’ for left, ‘starboard’ for right, ‘stern’ for back and ‘bow’ for front. Sure Mary Read, Anne Bonny and Cheng I Sao would be proud of you.
At the end of the workshop we will learn the last part of the choreography Morgana is going to perform at night, so you can join her at the stage! (if you want). Aye!
N.B. This class is limited to 20 places, for intermediate level or above. Not suitable for beginners. Not recommended to people who have medical knee or back problems.”
